According to reporter Jane Wells, some investors are putting their pennies back into the second home market, specifically in the Lake Tahoe area.

Truckee/Tahoe Sales – January 2011 – November 2011
Here are the results of the sales in the Truckee/Lake Tahoe Area from January-November 2011 compared to the same time period in 2010.
An analysis of the data seems to show the number of units sold is up in 2011 over 2010, with short sales being up and REOs down. Also, though median prices in 2010 were higher than 2011, a trend appears to be showing up that median prices are increasing.
